The 2024 Buick Encore GX returns this year with an all-new look inside and out, plenty of cargo space, and a smooth ride. Its three trims have distinct personalities.
Trim Levels of the 2024 Buick Encore GX
1. Preferred
With premium features like 18-inch Bright Silver aluminum wheels, cloth with leatherette seating, and LED headlights that turn on and off automatically, the Preferred is an exciting entry-level trim. It comes with standard front-wheel drive and a 1.2-liter turbo engine that creates 137 horsepower and averages an EPA-estimated 31 MPG on the highway. Available all-wheel drive models come with a 155-horsepower 1.3-liter turbo engine that also travels 31 highway miles on a gallon of gasoline.
The Preferred’s 5-passenger cabin is kept quiet and comfortable with a cabin air filter and QuietTuning technology that blocks and absorbs noise. Its large 11-inch HD touchscreen controls the 6-speaker audio system’s settings and displays your phone’s apps using wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. For added protection on the road, the Preferred comes with numerous driver assistance features, like Rear Cross Traffic Alert to warn you if a vehicle is approaching while you’re backing out of a parking space.
2. Sport Touring
When you choose the Sport Touring, you’ll get exclusive styling features like a gloss-black grille and 18-inch gloss-black aluminum wheels. Inside, you’ll find leatherette-trimmed seats with the ST logo embroidered on the head restraints. The Preferred’s optional 1.3-liter engine comes standard on the Sport Touring, and an auxiliary electric heater warms up the cabin before the coolant heats up. Included roof-mounted side rails provide extra carrying capacity for large items on the roof.
3. Avenir
The Avenir provides drivers with the ultimate in luxury and comfort, featuring leather-trimmed, heated front seats embroidered with the Avenir logo, a heated steering wheel, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The front seats are power-adjustable, and the driver’s seat includes memory settings, so you can press a button to return the seat to your ideal position after it’s been moved. Outside, the Avenir has exclusive styling features including a Black Ice Avenir grille and 19-inch Pearl Nickel aluminum wheels.
The Avenir comes with a fold-flat front passenger seat, so you can carry extra-large items inside the cabin. Its 120-volt power outlet provides power to household devices anywhere you travel, and the auto-dimming inside rearview mirror automatically reduces glare at night. With the Avenir, you’ll also get a complimentary 3-year subscription to the OnStar Premium Plan, so you’ll have access to features like roadside assistance and Automatic Crash Response.
